what are these trailer bunk brackets called?

Hello,
I am in the process of fixing my trailer. It's kind of a bizarre trailer... it's missing basic stuff like cross members, etc.

Part of why it's so odd is that it has the bunk brackets mounted right to the frame, instead of on the cross members. Some of the brackets are rusty, so I'd like to replace them.... but I don't know what these frame-mounted brackets are called, and so I can't find them anywhere.

It's kind of hard to see but basically, it consists of a bracket "body" that is U bolted to the frame. The bracket has a hole at the top in which one can mount swivel bracket "heads", just like you'd find on most bunk brackets.

So in the photo above, you can clearly see the bracket "body" that is U bolted to the frame. And then at the very top of that is a rusty bolt, and it's attached to an equally rusty swivel bracket head, and then the bunk board is mounted to that.

I already bought some swivel bracket heads, so I really only need to buy some of the "bodies". But what are they called?

p.s. this photo is showing a relatively rust-free body to give a good image... but the others are basically rusted through and falling apart.

Any info/guidance would be very appreciated.

Looks to be a simple job for your local weld shop or implement dealer to fabricate.

If That bracket is the best one, I'd be concerned on how the frame is also. They rust from the inside out.

I see... so these aren't real brackets that you can buy? I would have to get them custom made from a shop or something?

They are called Trailer Bunk Swivel Brackets. Just do a google search.

why not unbolt them, clean them up, and see what condition they are in? If they're ok, paint them and put them back on.
