I was recently given a old western auto wizard ,cant even tell the hp, it does have model # WD 4 S and a serial # 273916 on the plate still attached to the motor. the fuel tank is on the top , it has 2plugs on the back looks like the fuel bowl is out on the front. the motor does not run it frozen , it just dosent seem right to just throw it away. does any body have any intrest in these old motors.

Re: What are they worth

Sell it on eBay or your local Craig's List. Someone is no doubt looking for a parts outboard, and would love to have it. What it's worth will depend on how much someone is willing to bid on it. If you have one bidder, it'll go for the opening bid. If you have two bidders, it'll be worth more.

A frozen engine isn't a prime product, anywhere, but someone who needs a lower unit or other parts might find it attractive.

You might also check www.aomci.org, the antique outboard site. They have a classified section.

In any case, I wouldn't plan my retirement on the proceeds. :D
