1: Parent's who think their jackass poorly raised kids can do no wrong and will deny anything up until you present fingerprints.

2: Sunny beautiful days while I'm working inside all week and then rain on the weekend.

Some will say the same about your ride when you are that age. Let them be.

If I'm so out of touch that I drop the value of a car up-wards of thousands of dollars by installing a 30+ year old fad, let em say what they want to. I will be tooling along wearing the future equivalent of a Members Only jacket knowing my car looks the best. :D

Just to show I'm an equal opportunity sour puss;

- Dopes who install rear spoilers the size of park benches on econobox cars.
- Dopes who install mufflers on said econobox cars, which have an outlet diameter that rivals that of a Peterbuilt.

I saw a rear wing made out of 2x6, 2x8 lumber on an older 4 door car. Hillarious

1. Junk mail.
2. Phony offers from Nigeria to make me a millionaire.
3. The government protecting me from myself (i.e., motorcycle helmet law, seat belt law - busted twice on that when doing nothing else wrong - etc.)
4. Building code clutter designed not for safety, but to keep plumbers, electricians, and carpenters working.
5. Mall parking lots that almost require a GPS to find your way out of.

I probably shouldn't start a disagreement in this thread but......those laws aren't to protect you, they are to protect the insurance companies from huge injury and death claims (and theoretically saves us all on premiums).

I don't want to be the one to get this thread closed but:

the government using the arguments of "protecting me from myself" in a thinly veiled scheme to enhance their revenues. That is all these laws are are revenue producers, ask any law enforcement officer.

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

I know iboats probably uses a pre-made forum board, but i have to say i REALLY dislike the "post quick reply" and the larger "reply to thread". inevitably i type a long well thought out response...sometimes genius, i might add...and then click "reply to thread" because I am REPLYING TO A THREAD!!! If I were posting, i would be STARTING a thread. GRRRRR.

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

all the above got 500 chanels and not one darn thing to watch, think ill tell comcast to stick it,lol
This came up on a talk radio show this morning and got me thinking...

What have you absolutely had it with and are sick of seeing or hearing about?

1) Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, or any other celebrity that is simply famous for being famous...having never done a thing worthwhile.

2) Jersey Shore idiots (see above)

3) Having people tell me to "FaceBook" them or "shoot me a Tweet". I refuse to do either.

4) Latest new i*whatever*

5) B.S "reality shows" such as The Bachelor, Rock of Love, Survivor, Biggest Loser, John & Kate +8, etc. None of them are anywhere near reality...

Feel free to add your own...

1) So many things that used to be regarded as minor infractions or no infraction at all that are now prosecuted under state law as felonies.

2) So many seemingly minor crimes that once would have been prosecuted under state law are now prosecuted under federal statutes as federal felonies.

And these would be the same protesters that would be the first to whine and complain if we were on the defensive in any military action. "Why isn't the military doing anything about this"? And the same ones who take our liberties for granted (especially the right to peacefully demonstrate), not realizing that these rights weren't free...they were valiantly fought for!!

To ALL the men is women who proudly served in our armed forces, past and present, I stand humbled, with my hat in my hand, and salute your selflessness and dedication and heroism and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Re: What Are You Sick of Seeing?

What I am sick of, is hearing about jobs bills. Since when is it the federal governments job to "make jobs." There is such an entitlement mentality in this country that we feel the government needs to make us jobs. We know where all the jobs are at. We now have everything in this country made in Asia. We used to be a manufacturing country, but that is no longer so, and all those jobs are now in Asia. We are not going to get those jobs back. We just have to accept that America is going to have 9% unemployment from now on into the future. Instead of a "jobs bills" how about a tax on all outsourcing. Make it more expensive to outsource then to have it made here.

Edit: I'm gong to leave this here as a learning experience for now. I don't mean to call anybody out, but this is where borderline threads go towards the zap end of things. Whether we agree or disagree it just starts a downward spiral that we can't control other than closing. Most like that we prevent these fights here. Thanks for understanding - QC
