What are you using for oil in your 4.3?

I did a search and looked through the sticky's....I thought it would be a more common question.


Are you using the mercuiser oil? I think it is 20-50w

Is there something I can use in it's place?
No marinas close by but plenty of auto part stores




It s '98 4.3L

Pennzoil sae 30wt is what i use in my 4.3 .

I think the Mercruiser oil is 25W40.

Many people including myself have used the straight 30 weight oils found at any auto parts store.
The Rotella or Delvac oil is what i used to use.

I use a bit of canola oil to fry my eggs for breakfast.
is it simply to dammm difficult to LOOK and READ and COMPRHEND what ya read from the OPERATORS manual.
shhhheeeeesh.
it's ALL there BY the manufacturer, then ya dont have to second guess the internet.

I just use the oil indicated in my signature below......:rolleyes:.....I've never had a problem........
