94 Tracer Wagon consistently manages 36-38mpg (1.9/5 spd). No towing. Driven gently.

Not exactly a small car, bu my wifes 2011 Optima gets around 30 in mixed driving, she is pretty easy on the throttle.

great thread - 99 5.7 yukon 14-16, 87 auto 4 cyl beater/commuter Camry w/ 160K 27-29 and it hits 80 mph every day
