black/grey push botton on top left of gauges. I have no clue what it is.

got this boat, starting to tear it apart. taking all wiring out and doing it all over. didn't think there was something i wouldn't know what it was. too late to check what it actually goes to. any help?

Could be absolutely anything... Doesn't appear to be a factory switch. Since you already tore away the wiring, no way to ever know for sure besides deductive reasoning; what sort of electrical components have been added that didn't come from the factory?

Hmmmm. Maybe trace the wires and see where they go? It looks like a stop or kill switch but that woudn't really make sense in a boat that size...

+1. I'm thinking horn. That or ICBMs, but probably horn. Maybe bow lights. You can always follow the wires on the back to see where they go too.

To those saying trace wires, that is the obvious answer... But the above leads me to believe there are no wires left to trace.

Horn or activation for the Cloaking Device. If it's a momentary switch - horn.

After you get everything rewired it'll be for the one thing that isn't working yet.

yes it has bonairll, you probably saw some pics from my engine threads and/or electrical threads. this is one piece of work. I would guess horn or kill, but I doubt kill. I'll use some pics i took earlier and see if i can find those wires and where they lead to. it does seem to be in another winner boat i looked up the pic on the internet. I removed it, then thought.....what does this do? It was a pain to remove too, so i had better get this right thanks guys

It could be an electric water brake. Those never work so don't rewire it.

given the state of the wiring in that picture, I'd say that button does nothing! Horn or starter, but it really doesn't make a difference. Rip every shred of wiring out of that and start over.

We all spell poorly here... the correct spelling should be Dear not derrr. If he'd had spelt it correctly and had really asked his wife she'd have told him it was the horn button.
