Put a change of address notice thru your post office. that will buy you some time. Then you just notify the state and your bill collectors either by phone or online . you will be set to go. shouldn't cost a dime.

With the change of address notice, they will forward your mail for 1 year IIRC. No need to check the old box

Yup ^^^^^ Make sure you have the address forwarded through USPS. They do a good job of gettin' stuff to your new address.

On most bill statements there is usually a form to change address.

Nice thing about the change of address is that the junk mail won't get forwarded, so you will be junk mail free for a little while (3rd class mail doesn't get forwarded).

Having a paper copy is how you catch them screwing up. I caught my bank shuffling checks because I printed a copy online and compared it to what they sent. Which is why I fired them after almost 30yrs. Haven't caught a credit card company yet, but I darn sure look now.

Online change cost money. I don't think it cost anything if done in person. If done in person at your local PO changes happen quicker than doing it online.

Oh I do pay all bills online via my bank, did the post office online thing and called all CC companies, PGE etc, think I got it covered, havent moved in so long!! Moving Monday after work, and we're all just about packed up!!! Woohoo!! And got a 3.5% loan!!!!

My bank statements are the exact duplicate of what they send in the mail. Credit cards are the same way.
