Hi,

I'm wondering which Make/Year etc the boat on the picture is (I've been told it's a Cobalt). I've been searching the internet for a while, but can't find anything on this.. I'm able to buy the boat for a nice price, so I would like to know some specs and see some pictures of other (same) boats.

Mmm, the image doesn't show up..

Thanks in advance!

The Hull Identification Number should be located on the outer right rear corner of the boat. There will be 3 letters at the beginning that indicate the company that manufactured the boat.

Re: What boat is this?

I found an identification nr;
The boat is imported, so the data on the papers may be somewhat altered. It says:

ID nr: 214231
Make: Cobalt
Type: Speedcruiser
Engine: Volvo Penta
Engine nr: 20628
HP: 130

Can you help me further?

Looks like too much boat for that tow vehicle. Other than that: Cobalt is a very good brand, especially if the boat was cared for.

Cobalts are made in Kansas and I am not sure Cobalt imported boats during this time frame, if ever. They like to have complete control of the production process and quality. They have used European designers over the years.

Cobalt's hull id numbers start with "FGE". You can find Cobalt's brochures back to 1975 on their web site.

That doesn't look like anything Cobalt ever made, but it could be a rare model. You need to get the actual HIN off of the rear of the boat. That trailer is rediculously small for that boat. It looks like everything from the engine back is hanging in the air!

Price a trailer to make sure its still a good deal afterwards. As mentioned already, thats the wrong trailer. I would not tow that very far at all with that set up.
Is that not a planing hull? 130 hp sounds to small for that hull to plane. Nothing wrong with a slow cruiser, op just needs to figure out if it still suits his needs.
