What boat should I get?

I'd like to get all of the expert's opinions on what hull I should buy. I have an 1984 Bayliner Capri 16' with a 1982 Evinrude 115HP, rebuilt and running great. The Bayliner has a rotten floor and needs a lot of work. I'd like to buy a good hull to put my engine on. I like bowriders, open hulls, 16' - 20' is fine, and the biggest requirement is no wood in the floor. Is that possible? Except for Whalers (I think) are there any boats with no wood in the floor? What are good quality boats that I can get, hopefully for little $? I should mention that I boat primarily in Long Island Sound, and a few CT lakes.

Thanks all!

If I were you I wouldn't focus on the brand I will try to get a newer hull as I possibly can withing my budget, most of the time,
newer=less maintenance

Have you considered an aluminum hull? No maintence, easy towing ,and would haul faster than a glass boat due to less weight.

Aluminum boats are very popular here in the Pacific Northwest. They've come a long way since the old 'tin boat'!

I believe Triton has done away with wood on most or all of the boats they make. They have a complete lineup.
