sand it prime it, and finish with rustoleum.

I have tried a lot of rattle can products(krylon, etc.) over the years and i have to agree with TD. Rustoleum can't be beat for spray painting with a can. Heck I even painted a whole Ford Ranger with it once and it turned out great! Not real shiny like a clearcoat, but it blends together well from can to can. Just lay down several thin coats allowing each one to dry before applying the next. I personally would just do the FG repair kit on the keel unless you plan on keeping that boat long term. There is a lot of cool stuff at Cabelas to spend that gift card on! And by reading a lot of your other posts, you seem to be a wheeler-dealer that's probably gonna be trading in on bigger/better before long.

Keel guard will work, or you could use a length of aluminum or stainless steel, about 1/8"x1". Epoxy and screw on. Use sealer/epoxy on the screws. Cheaper than a keel guard, a little more work, and will look better (IMHO).

Boat now has a home, soon as i can figure out how to get the throttle/shift cables off the motor, i can move the boat to the shed, flip it, somehow build something to hold it upside down... then get to work on the keel

Anyone know a simple way to put a boat upside down, w/out damaging the lights on the front, or will it suppor them just fine ?

Probably right, i would surly have gotten a bigger boat right now, if my car would tow it... Need to trade this boat for a truck =)
