I know I'm going to get a mixed bag here, but we are in the market for a BIG upgrade on our 1954 bayliner capri classic. We are after a 30' -36' cabin cruiser (used). We've looked at a number of brands and want to know who holds their value better than others. We've looked at Sea Ray, Carver, Wellcraft and some others. We have an idea we may want to upgrade again in the future and don't want to get stuck with something we can't sell. We plan on keeping the new boat 7 - 10 years (kid's will be gone by then). We don't want a floating condo, but rather something that has style and a little sporty.

Thanks for your opinions,
Greg & Angela

whatever fine boat you could be looking at must be in excellent shape now for it to have high re-sale in the future. get a survey done before you fall in love with a money pit. the surveyor will be knowledgeble enough to point out fine or poor features, without being biased (hopefuly). dont begrudge his fee if he steers you away from something. he probably saved you a bundle.
good brands are regal, sea ray, four winns, cruisers yacht. have fun shopping. :) :) :)
