I have been refurbing a 1960 14' Bell Boy Ballerina. I have done some glass work and replaced the deck. I have also taken off the 1959 35HP Johonson and replaced it with a 1972 9.5 HP Johnson. I've changed motors due to a trip we have planned to the Uinta mountains in Utah where we have to have a sub 10hp motor.

I am almost ready to put it on the water, but wanted to know what I should expect out of the 9.5HP (and the 35HP for that matter). We wont be skiing behind this boat (obviously) but what kind of speed do you guys think I can expect out of each of these motors?

Thanks!

its not too heavy. i found a 1960 flyer for the boat and it says its only 450 lbs. I can easily move it around on my driveway by hand on the trailer.

10- 15 mph, depending on load and balance of load.
