What Changes Can I Expect

Got a new prop for my bayliner 185 today. I went from a 14.5"X 21 P (What was on it when I bought it) and I put on a 15"X 17P.

Boat has a 3.0 L Merc. in it.

I am just wondering what kind of changes I can expect to see. Quicker getting up on plane? Speed? Smoother?

Thanks guys

You should probably take a look at the sticky titled "Read This First" at the top of this section. We really need to know your WOT RPM from the previous setup to answer this one. You have made a huge jump down in pitch that could result in picking up around 800 RPM, but very hard to tell you without your previous results. You will definitely have better hole shot, the rest will be based on where you were before . . .
