Re: What did my wife get me into?
Well....
They aren't all that bad. I know a couple that'll do ya right.
All in all, I pretty happy with how it went. I do wish the color was closer, but that is fixable in the future. (this doesn't fall under your "just a couple soft spots" tagline does it Wood?)
I do wish I'd been able to get an earlier jump on it, but the weather and my job kept me busy or unable to work on it through most of May.
I'm going to go clean on her a bit tonight by the moonlight, and then work on getting the carpet and seats installed tomorrow morning.
Then I've got to put the new prop on (old one was bent up a bit), put the new bimini together (old one was torn/missing parts), reinstall the ski tow hook with a new reinforced board (hook was loose when we got her) and give her a nice wash/wax on the outside (mostly hard water spots that weren't wiped down). Then it is on to putting the registration stickers on, and maybe splashing her for the first time if weather/schedule permits.
After all of that is done, I've got a big ceremony of renaming her. Let's hope the boat gods shine down on her new name.
