Jason,
Hang in there someone will reply besides me. When you wipe your hand across the gelcoat does it make your hand white. In other words is the finish chalky? If so, there are many schools of thought on this site, just depends on how much works you want to do and how long you want it to last. Just search for gelcoat polishing etc..

Welcome to iBoats!
Well there are a LOT of views on this on here so I will tell you a couple of them. The accepted CORRECT way is to Wet sand the GelCoat (Thats what your boat is coated with) using various grades of wet/dry sandpaper until the shine comes back and then use a good quality polish and an electric polisher to shine it.

The NOT SO Accepted EASY way to SOMEWHAT bring back the shine is to use chemicals to bring back the shine. Common Vaseline has been used. Some prefer a Paint additive called Penetrol. There are marketed Boat Polishes that you can buy. They ALL give some what good results but it should be noted that applying them does have consequences to the factory Gelcoat.

Your decision.

I'm just sayin...:D

Jason, Woodonglass is correct. I totally concur with the wet sanding and polishing method. I posted a before and after in one of the gelcoat threads. That is the only way to get rid of the oxidized finish. Once done you'll just have to wax once in a while, which you should do with any boat anyway.

Re: what do u think

The dullness is caused by oxidation. Buy some 600 grit wet/dry paper, wet the paper and the boat in a small area and keep it wet and sand it for about 10 secs with medium pressure. Dry it off and you will be amazed at what you see. If you follow up with 1000 grit 1500 grit it will look like a new one.

I'm just sayin...:D
