What do you guys think about a 1998 Trophy 18 Ft Cuddy?

Basically I am looking for a small boat easy to trailer with my v6 mini van. Is this an ok boat? 1998 Trophy 18 Ft Cuddy?

I have two small kids and I thought a cuddy might be a good idea if it gets a bit choppy on the way back. I can get this boat for under $9K though it has an 1997 Evenrude 130 2 stroke and I am not too crazy about that part, since it seems 4 strokes are the better bet....

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a pretty nice boat to me. Evinrude 2 strokes are quite reliable and require little maintenance. Check carefully to make sure there is no rot in the deck or transom.

are you serious about the mini van part? If so, a FWD mini van would probably tow it... BUT.... depending on the launch, you would likely have prob's getting pulled out when retrieving. In perfect launch cond's, my van does pretty well.. in real-world conditions, it's about 50/50 whether it'll get up the launch by itself.

Looks like a nice boat...

Just a thought, maybe its just my friends and I, but a cuddy will make anybody sick when its choppy out, and your underway.
