What Do You Look For When Buying Fuel ???

I have been working a putting a 14 ft john boat with a older 20 hp merc 200 back on the water after sitting for 15 years. I finally have it running good and have been out fishing a few time with it already. There seems to be alot of confusion about something as simple as filling up with fuel. I also read alot of posts of running problems that could be releated to the type of fuel to run. Is there any special brand of fuel that is ok for these older 2 strokes or does the fuel vary depending on your location. I have put alot of hard work into the 1968 merc 200 and like I said I have it running well. I dont want to mess this thing up. What do you look for when buying fuel. I fill my tank at the HESS because its right at the exit to my subdivision. What does everyone else use?
