I pull my 2001 Wellcraft 180 Sportsman with a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The 5.2L V8 and all time 4 wheel drive make getting up any ramp so much easier than the 1997 dodge cargo van with the v6 that I towed my old 17 foot Chris Craft.

It pulled the boat really well from SD to WI and back. Has 360 2bbl no overdrive, 2.73:1.

I drove @ 60 mph and it got 12.6, 11.4 and 11 mpg. I'm not sure who gets what for mileage, but since this was EPA rated at 12mpg highway, I'm impressed. Best I got before was 13 for just the Jeep.

uh, If you really do have a Turbo 350(aka THM 350), you don't have an overdrive at all. Turbo 350's only had 3 forward gears plus reverse.(same as Turbo400).
If you have overdrive, odds are you have the older version of the 4l60E, which is the 700r4.
In late 1992, electronic controls were added to make it the 4L60E, so you might even have that transmission.

98 GMC Envoy. Can't believe how well this little truck tows my boat. I bought it for $3500 and it only has 90K on it. Does have a salvage title, but who cares, I just wanted the boat and needed something to pull it. Keep looking for something to replace it with, but haven't found anythhing I really want for a reasonable price yet.

I'll be the odd man out, but I pull with 1996 Buick Roadmaster, LT-1 350 V8, trailer towing package, transmission cooler, oversize radiator, air shocks on back, positraction, pulls boat to Florida, no problem!

I towed my Wellcraft Eclipse with a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer 6 cylinder until I totaled it back in December.

Picked up a cheap 1994 Ford F250 Supercab 2WD with a 460 V8 to use for towing now. The difference is amazing. The extra wheelbase alone makes for a much more stable tow package. Not to mention the extra HP.

Currently towing a Campion 505i w/3.0l with an 08 Jeep Compass....CVT belt driven transmission. Never let your guard down and never let the RPM's drop below 3600 on any incline. 4 wheel drive at the ramp is mandatory.
Knock on wood, no problems so far..

'74 Buick LeSabre Luxus convertible. 455, 4 barrel, factory dual exhaust, class III hitch I rigged up, heavy duty coil springs and load adjusting shocks but still sagging more than I want it to

That Buick is beautiful. I bet you get a lot of looks pulling a boat with a convertible. How much is it rated to tow?

I pull my 23' Center console with my 2007.5 Chevy Crew Cab 2500 Duramax/Allison. It's a bit overkill but I had the truck before I had the boat.
