Re: What do you think of this idea for power tilt/trim?
I've been looking at those v4/v6 units. I'm fairly sure the cylinder from that would work, and the remainder of the unit could be mounted under the splashwell with hoses run to the cylinder. The tilt/trim unit for the 40-50hp that I have does not have separate trim and tilt cylinders. It only has one. But it is a big fat one.<br /><br />Dave, Thanks for the equasion. I'll have to spend some time with it. <br /><br />For now I'm going to keep an eye on ebay. Figure all those trashed boats from Florida, Alabama and Texas will have the motors being parted out on ebay soon. <br /><br />BTW I am very leery about a used tilt/trim unit on ebay that is sporting a fresh coat of paint. What is the seller trying to hide?
