I'm looking at a 2001 crownline 19' 220hp.

I spoke with the guy, This boat is a rental boat, it has 750 hrs, it has a good amount of dock rash, tho not all gel coat some just on the graphics, seams on some of the seats are separating, floor is solid. so what do you think?? I know crownline is a well built boat but being a rental I dont know???.

Seems like a fair price. NADA shows it at 7700 for the low end.
The pics dont show the damage, If it looks good Id at least take it for a ride and see.

Its probably had the crap ran out of it.... I would if I rented one.

If you can get it cheap, go for it... but keep in mind how it was probably treated.

here are some pics of the dock rash, some look like scuffs that maybe able to buff out?? It's a 3 1/2 hour drive to go see it.

those are all cosmetic blemishes- you need a compresion test ( all within 10% of each other) and look for any water in lower unit. ( pop lower screw port)
and mushy floors or bilge.
if it is not 90% walk away. There are plenty of barely used rigs out there.

If it's like most rentals, it's been rode hard and put away wet most every day. I'd take a day to look at it AND have a certified surveyor go over it with a fine tooth comb.
