I don't always launch from a ramp. Its a tilt trailer and I back down into a beach sometimes.

towing my boat with my 2k7 toyota tundra limited, 4x4, TRD package, off road package and upgraded it to the 18 inch instead of 17. pulls my wellcraft, 4500 Lbs empty with no problem.

We tow our Rinker EC260 with a 95 4X4 Suburban. Pulls, stops and handles the load well. We don't have any hills or mountains to worry about either. Dual axle surge disc brakes on the trailer too.

I tow my 86 Thompson 19 1/2' Cuddy with a a 1996 F250 ext cab 4wd with a 460. I would guess boat, trailer, toys/gear is 3500-4000lb. It doesn't even know the boat is there. Picked the truck up cheap from a friend and towing/hauling is all I use it for.

I tow my Trophy 1903 CC with a 2007 Nissan Titan 4X4. Better to have more vehicle than to little.

I tow my 20' bowrider with a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with a 4.7L V8 engine. It pulls both the boat and camper fine, altough i know the the 5k # camper is back there.

Just watch your tow vehicle ratings. The vehicle may be able to do it, but can it do it safely? Have fun and be safe!

Used to tow a 21' sailboat with a honda accord 1990's =)
Also use a 2000 honda oddesey

They never put a V-6 in a WJ(your Jeep). Only I-6's and V-8's..

Its a brute of an engine though.. Should out last the Jeep if you keep it up. Tranny is good too if you keep the oil changed and use the right oil(ATF+4)..

I stand corrected it is the inline 6. You jeep guys..LOL. It is a good engine and a heck of a truck...but I'm looking at a new Tundra or an FJ Cruiser.

2003 chevy silverado z71 4x4 towing 2009 16' pro-guide tracker. bought the truck with boat towing in mind. wasnt sure when or what boat i was gonna attach to it at the time i bought the truck. the truck can handle a much heavier bigger boat but i dont need a bigger boat

I use a Chevy 2005 1/2 ton 4X4 to tow my 16 foot fishing boat, plenty of power to spare.

Tow an 07' 1750 Lund Tyee GS with an 08 Dodge Nitro 3.7 liter auto. Tows like a dream however the suspension in the back is a bit soft. I tow this boat all over the east coast with no issues. Boat and trailer weigh in at about 3100lbs total. The Nitro is rated to tow 5K. I tow a dump trailer and have towed it weighing about 4500lbs. You know your towing something then!
