In another post, I have been logging my battles with dingys engine. Although, it has been winning all the battles, I am commited to winning the war!

I'm thinking about a new powerhead -- This engine is a 1996 Johnson Evinrude 115 HP -- I think they call it a crossflow Bubbleback

If I order a new powerhead, what does that include aside from block with pistons?
Heads? exhaust manifold?

I doubt that you will find a brand new 15 year old powerhead for your motor.

Most likely it will be a rebuilt block from some other company, though you can order rebuilt blocks through your Johnson-Evinrude dealer.

The assembled long block contains the internal parts including pistons, rods, bearings, crankshaft and the cylinderheads. You have to supply the rest of the parts from your old motor.

For the bubble-back version of your motor, contact the rebuilder to see if that is included. Different companies have different configurations.
