Cool, I have a 98 3/4 ton Suburban that I tow 8,000 pounds with, really bogs down in the mountains though, used to live in Red Wing MN by the way, loved the fall there, but not the winter.

2007 Ford F-150 1/2 ton works for me...I have an 18ft Astro Bass boat and ot tows it great.

Hi guys, just wondering what kind of rig everyone tows their boat with.....

The big boat- nothing, it's too big. It stays in a slip!
My small boats, either my 2008 F250 pickup (5.4 gas) or our 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. Both do the job nicely.

My old 23 foot Wellcraft was once towed by this - not fun.

This was the deal I have been waiting for. I bought her from the original owner today...it is a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT , 4.7 Magnum V8 with a meticulously maintaned 137,500 miles on her...she is in the same condition under the hood as she looks in the pics and has never towed ANYTHING...I have been servicing this truck at my shop for three years now...and was offered it at Honda dealer trade in value...they never saw it.,..Kelly Blue Book value is over 5k...I bought it for less than a 1/4 of that.....NICE

2007 Tundra CrewMax, 5.7 V8, 6 speed tranny with the tow package.

I tow a Suntracker PB20 pontoon on the ball and a 21' HTT on a wdh hitch.

You should check out some of the RV forums, they have some major towing issues there.

I use a stock 2006 Chevy 4X4 powered by the 496 (8.1) and allison 6 speed.

I have two vehicles I can use...a 2004 Blazer 4x4, 4.3 and a 1996 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 RWD, 5.7 V8. So far we have used the Silverado most of the time, but if I know I am going to go to a steep ramp ahead of I will use the 4x4 Blazer to be safe. Towing a 16' Starcraft with 55 and 5.5 motors. Both do well with this boat.
