What does this hose do? 5/16 line on 2001 115hp Ficht

I'm sooooooo close. Just made the brackets to hold the fuel tanks. Installed the oil tank. I think I even found the plug for the oil tank sensor. But, there's three hoses coming out of the engine, 1/4", 5/16", & 3/8". The 1/4" is clearly marked oil supply, and the 3/8" isn't marked but connected to the fuel pump attached to the fuel filter. Then there's this 5/16" line that also connects to the oil pump. Could it be an oil discharge?

There is a line to supply fuel to the pump, oil to the pump, fuel to the carbs, and one line sends fuel to the intake when the primer is activated from the ignition switch. Oops..just noticed you have a Ficht. My post may not help you. Sorry

3/8 is fuel "in" from fuel tank, 1/4 is oil "in" from oil tank, 5/16 is oil "return" to oil tank. Make SURE you purge the oil system before starting engine !!!!

I'm going to presume that it is unpressurized and can just drill a hole in oil tank top, put a 5/16 barb through it an connect it.
