Re: What does your username stand for?

Hey All, Really enjoyed reading all the reasons for the names.

Mine well not that creative. It was my late father nick name at his work. Have many memories of him taking me and my sister fishing.

Kind of seem natural to use it here.

ztim is the last four letters of my last name backwards, and the 04 is the year. The name of my little boat is the "Y NOT". ;)

My first car was a 1974 formula firebird. Got it when I was 14 and have had it since. Used the name since my first day on the internet and use it for all emails and such. :)

Trigger is my nickname. I got it after shooting at a vehicle that tried to run me over in May of 1995. It's short for trigger happy. :D

After my 100th screen name choice was already taken a couple years back I put in mine (in frustration) and it went through. It is unique enough I can stay with it where ever I go on the web and I think its cool.

Mr. Horsepower started this unique thread way back in June 2001. It has been bumped up several times since. While reading you can get an idea of those that have come and gone. Please log in if you haven't done so. Thanks

Very cool thread... Glad it got bumped back up.

Anyway, my friends at work are taller than me, so they named me Stumpy. I like it! :D :D

And I got this bumped back to the top too! ;)

Oops I forgot to mention the Bruce part. But I guess it,s rather obvious even to people preoccupied with boats and such. :D

Re: What does your username stand for?

The first time I signed up with an ISP they asked me for a username. My first 3 choices were already taken, so I took the first letter of my surname and put it in front of my christian name, hence achris.

Chris A...........

Re: What does your username stand for?

ohh boy ...

A buddy of mine Dave picked up a registered Yellow Lab some years back from the shelter to replace the need for a dog around the house for his wife after their house dog passed.

anywho .. the new Labs name was Barlow.

Lets just say Barlow wasn't the 'sharpest tool in the shed' but, He was real kind and good mannered.

He was kennel bound most of his life so Barlow looked like a beer barrel with a tail for a tap and well... oh geeze, Barlow was dumb as a box of rocks... hardly knew his name and didn't come when called.

We tried hunting Barlow.. but it was just too much.. wasn't worth the hassle...too many bad habits.

Dave has a big place and the group of friends we all are came out to have fun helping with fall clean up and drink his shop fridge dry of beer and anything else we managed to find layin' around .. *hick*

The whole day Barlow got in the way mostly but, was around and didn't stray .. we all poked a little fun at the rollie-pollie but it was in good fun.

After the work was done and the grill was cool we sat out in the shop suckin' a few after dinner barley sodas when the new owner of Barlow (my buddy Dave) looked at the dog and said,

"Ya know ... Barlow sorta reminds me of you!" ...

I chuckled and said,"WHAT?!".

Dave replied, "Yea! Well.. you're both blonde, dumb as H#LL, over-wieght, can't hunt worth a sh/t and don't come when called."......

---

..thing is I'm not over-wieght...and it STUCK!

Re: What does your username stand for?

Mine has history too. I am a police officer, started about 10 years ago working mostly DWI enforcement. The seargent was a bean counter and kept count of what we all did. My partner and I always had the most DWI arrests each quarter out of our department. Because of this it was said I was like a hound dog when looking for drunks. After one night with several arrests everyone started calling me the big dog. I went to work with another department as a deputy where I worked narcotics. I got lucky and made some very large seizures so the dog thing came back. Now I work child porn and sex crimes against children. Everyone on the department says I track these perverts like a dog. So you have it, deputydawg.

Also like the cartoon.
