A guy came into my shop one day and said "Are you the ICEMAN?" I looked at him and said excuse me? He said, my friend told me to come and see the iceman. I asked who his friend was, While he was stading there, I called his friend, who was one of my customers. I asked him why he sent a guy here looking for the iceman. He chuckled and said, Your the "Internal Combustion Engine Man" aren't you.

COASTIEGIRL well im a girl and i was in the "dont HATE me" COAST GUARD for 11 years. i grew up on a Sailboat on ANNA MARIA Island in FLORIDA, been practicly all over the world. and my last place before moving to TN was in MARATHON FLA in the KEYS 2 years ago. and all the other names i could think of were taken so COASTIEGIRL it became.

I'm a SEABEE in the Navy. Our rank is associated with our job. I'm am an E6 and my job is a Construction Mecanic so presently I'm a CM1. If I were to ever make E9 I would be called an EQCM, ( combination of Construction Mechanic and Equipment Operator). So to make a short story long it is a lot of wishful thinking because I dont see me staying in long enough to make it to the rank of E9 ( about 27 years). <br /><br />(EQCM2B= Equipment Chief Master To Be.)

I live on Long Island New York, Winters aren't real bruttle but my life revolves around firewood and the wood stove. And whenever the pile of wood gets small the wife looks out at my boat in the driveway and calls it firewood..

I guess mine is a little obvious, but for you "stinkpotters" out there, don't hold it against me. I like everything nautical, regardless of it's propulsion. I'm a newbie, but love this board and hope to get back as often as I can.<br /><br />(I love the origin for Firewood's name... I've been there. )

I loved reading these! This is a great thread. Problem is, I was incredibly uncreative when coming up with a username myself so I'm going to take this opportunity to come up with one. I recently bought an old 1975 Glastron GT150 which is a hideous yet endearing orange color. My wife started calling it the Orange Crush because the look of it reminded her of a mid 70's orange colored Camaro that her Dad owned that he named Orange Crush. So here on in I will use the username OrangeCrushGT150 (I threw the GT150 in to clarify that I'm not someone who works for a soda company). For those who'd like to see it, here's an old brochure I found. Mine is the one at the bottom.<br />Classic Glastrons<br /><br />BTW, this link is to an excellent site for those interested in old Glastrons, I just stumbled by it one day.<br /><br />anchors aweigh!
