mine is a nick name translate from chinese "NELSON". "Nel" some like bird, "son" sound like God.

Just picked up a sweet 78 terry 4.7 long horn with a 90 merc blue strip. also a 78

Have watched this thread for a good while and figured what the heck....

I'm an electrician by trade and cadwelding is a term giving to weld copper to copper by heated infusion. Exothermic Welding is the proper term. Cadweld is a trade name from the company that makes the most of the molds and material for it... so now you know..

I was working with Duke Energy for a while when I was introduced to cad welding. That was the singular source of enjoyment and irritation of my job. Something about putting a spark to a gray powder and making molten copper at over 1600 degrees just made my day better. Unless you didnt have the mold lined up or clamped down right and all you managed to do was melt through a cable...

When I switched from AOL usage in 1998 to web forums, my AOL handle (MikeRPB180, because I had a PowerBook 180) seemed outdated, so searched for new name to use on forums.
I used to race Mountain Bikes 1996-2000, and "mtbdude" was taken, so added the x hence "mtbdudex" is my user name on countless forums; (audio/video forums, photography forums, astronomy forums, biking forums)....raced at National Level 1997-1998. Ahh, before kids freedom...............

My best race place ever was 3rd place @ 1998 NORBA Nationals... lean - mean - biking machine

1999 Cactus Cup; this was my last national level race.....I met my wife this year

i didnt know that field was the user name i thought it was just the log in box but its true she owns me until death or a 23-28 year old rich supermodel whos loaded with cash and willing to buy me toys like big boats etc does us part.....lol
