What else do I need for rebuild? J-6hp

I have ordered parts for a Johnson 6hp 74'. Carb kit, points, condensers, spark plugs, fuel pump, a impeller, marine gear oil and repair manual.

Is there anything else I will need that dont come in the carb kit like gaskits or is there anything I need for the water pump impeller? Some one said I need drain and vent plug gaskits but I could not find anything under that description. I thought maybe the drain plug gaskit is the rubber gaskit to go on the two bolts I remove to drain the gear oil and I just dont know what a vent plug is. I could not find those bolts and rubber gaskits for the drain plugs on iboats for this model. Its a 1974 6hp Johnson model 6R74C. I just want to make sure that when everything gets here next tuesday, I got everything I need. I am getting plenty of spark on both cylinders so I decided to save the $40.00 and not order the coils. Hope I dont wish I had ordered them. Thanks for any more good advice that comes this way..... Fishermanms

I picked up some of those gaskets for my 73. Came in a pack of 6 so if you need a couple, send me a private message and I'll mail you a couple. I'm just waiting for parts here too.

Bill... Man I really appreciate that. I did see those for 73 and earlier and 75 and later. I should have just went ahead and ordered them.. They were very inexpensive so if they didnt fit...I would not be out much at all... So what I will do is just go ahead and order them today. That way I'll have some extra for this fall and spring and you will too. I will do the lower part last and the gaskits should be here by then.. us postal service would probally have them here quick in an envelope.... But thanks a million anyway...Fishermanms
