Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... It apears to be a 250 Chevy, 165hp, dressed as an OMC....

Looks like a Mercruiser setup to me. Engines the wrong color, but the throttle cable is Merc, and the electrical cable over the starter looks Merc, not OMC. Not sure OMC used that kind of riser with the stringers either.
Got a picture of the outdrive handy?

Re: What engine it is?

Hi Guys:

It's definitely an inline 6 cylinder 250 CID Chevy engine. Like Bondo said it's painted in OMC colors but like Don said it looks like a Mercruiser set up. I think the manifold and carb looks like a Mercruiser. By the position of the solenoid beneath the manifold I believe it could be pre 1974.

it also looks like it has automotive fuel pump, you might want to look into that, and fuel line to carb looks a little iffy-being polite

Re: What engine it is?

Please excuse my ignorance, But what is the difference between an automotive fuel pump and a marine one?

Likely the fail safe design in a marine application wont allow a leak that might lead to an explosion - just guessin

also if you find the serial number on the block and just google the number the info on the engine might pop right out

OK thanks for any help.
I have more photos but I think the Engine is dead :(
The engine oil is mixed with water.
What You think? What it could be? The block or head is cracked or may by just some of gaskets is liking?
And another photos may by help recognize what engine it is.

Well it could be rainwater or something that made it's way through the intake, but I would bet it's more likely to be a cracked block from improper winterization. You can change oil and start it up and see if the oil stays clean, but chances are you'll see the telltale milkshake.
