Just remember one thing about fiberglass resins....Epoxy will stick to polyester, but not the other way around, so if you go epoxy, you'll need to stick with epoxy for everything and anything that relates to it.

Personally, I'm sticking with polyester. My boat is over 30 years old, and the polyester has worked just fine up to this point, and with the advances in fiberglass cloth, mat, and roving ( plus S2 ), I can't see much of a point of spending the extra money on the epoxy unless I was already into it.

It's woven cloth, but thicker. The hull usually is made primarily of Roving ( at least it is in my Glastron. )

After looking through the links on that site, there are a lot of choices in what you can get for fiberglass...I wasn't aware of the choices....now I have a bit more work to figure out how I'm going to do the fiberglass work on my boat.
