what fuel fitting should I use?

hey guys ive got a sears gamefisher 5 hp engine.It has the chrysler fuel fittings.I bought a Moeller 3 gallon tank.I bought the chrysler fuel line.It had only 1 fitting for the engine.and the tank has a threaded hole with no fitting.What should I use to connect the fuel line to the tank?Can I get it at a hardware store? thanks

You need a quick-connect fitting for the tank, and that end of the fuel line. Check places like Academy Sporting Goods, Gander Mountain, etc. The Iboats store online should also have them.

That is true and good advice. However, you can also use a simple hose barb and leave the hose attached to the tank. Yes you can get that, and a hose clamp, at a hardware store. If you don't care about detaching the hose, it will eliminate a potential source of leakage.

Yep, a 1/4" or 3/8" fuel hose barb, probably at Ace Hardware, slide the hose on it, use a hose clamp or tie-wrap to secure it and you're ready to go, with no leaks! Good Luck!
