What Gearcase Lube?

1998 Ocean Pro 225hp...Manual calls for OMC ultra gearcase lube. Marina says BRP HPF will work. I also have some BRP Hi Viscosity left over from an older Rude I had. What will work for my application? Thanks

Good old Wal-Mart SuperTech lower unit gear oil works fine for me!

Any marine gear oil for mechanical shift motors is fine. I like to use a synthetic gear oil on that new of a motor, but that is my ideosyncracy.

Should've read the label....HPF is the synthetic blend that satisfies the "Ultra" and "Hi Vis" requirement for outboards. Thanks for your input.
