What HP Outboard

I have an old 10' Feathercraft aluminum V-hull boat. Can anyone suggest what HP motor this would be rated for? I would like to fix this up and use it but am not sure what HP I should use. Don't want too much but don't want to sacrifice power either. Thanks for any replies!

Should be a tag in the back on the transom.

i have a 1951 11 foot feathercraft. rated 6hp, according to a brochure i found.

Thanks for the suggestions. The serial # plate and HP rating on the transom is unreadable cause the boat is so old. It has been around a long time. Thanks tashasdaddy I think you are correct as I remember reading somewhere else that boats these lengths were rated around 6hp. So that's what I will begin shopping for.
