A friend of mine sold a very similar boat late last summer for 9K. His was immaculate, had a 35 Johnson, 9.9 kicker, probably very comparable equipment to what you described. He also had new full canvas, new seats. I was surprised it was worth that much.

Sounds like a pretty decent boat, the 25 is a little on the small side but will certainly get you around and Smoker makes a nice boat, I have a similar boat with a 50 and get 30 mph so you could expect 15-20 ish.

The leak could be rivets but you need to get the deck off to fix them and I would look for waterlogged foam if it has been leaking for any amount of time, check the hull good for damage as in cuts or creases, a few small dents won't hurt it.

Haven't priced baots for awhile but what Roscoe said is about what I would pay but it depands where you are in the country and what the guy will take, if you can come to a price that both of you agree on that is the right price.

I got my boat 9 ish years ago, very similar deal and I paid $1750, factor in everything and you are right about 2K.

The whole "leaks a little" thing is what would bother me. Sellers tend to UNDERestimate any damage/problems. It could be a minor problem.....or you could find that the boat is waterlogged and in need of a lot of work/money to fix.

If you can drop it in the water BEFORE purchasing, you should be able to get an idea of how much/how fast the water is getting in.

If nothing else, I would use the leaking hull as a good bargaining chip.

I would not want a "leaks a little" if it were stored in the water; constant water exposure, especially fresh, is bad.

But if it's kept on the trailer and just a day-use boat, it has 2 drain holes!

I'd want to find that leak. if it's a screw hole or split from a dent, that's one thing, but if it's a split at a rivet, there are like to be more.
