What is correct NGK plug and gap

Hi Gents. I just got a 2006 Merc. 4 stroke 40 hp s/n 1B343737.
What is the correct NGK plug and gap.

DPR6EA-9 gapped at .035.

Thanks bilge rat much appreciated. When I checked NGK site they showed DCPR7E for only the 2006 model of 40hp which caused me to ask. I have not checked yet what is currently in the motor,will do that soon if it warms up here. Want to check compression also.

Mercury marine verified that it takes the DCPR7E. For some reason this seems to be the only model that requires this plug. ????
