What is the compression for a 1989 85 hp Force. The boat place I dropped my boat off to says my compression is 110,120, and 110. He says there is a compression problem.

My 87' 85hp was as follows this spring, 119, 117, 119, I would think your #'s are fine

I'd say that compression is fine. <br />Why were they performing a compression test?

i took the boat in to get look at hard starting after i got out on the water ,i guess that just what they do when they go over the motor? anyway he said its a little low and to put a can of that restore ? in the carbs and run it hard it should clean up the rings and bring up the compression. picking up the boat today he said it was fine it must be just the way i way starting it and it was always flooding . i read the other replys on the same motor and it seems these motors are tricky to start.
