Have you raised the bow and pulled the plug just to see if water or much water drains out?

Re: What is my boat supposed to weight?

Thanks for the links zoola and Watermann. I have tried lifting the front out and no water comes out. The tires are rated for 1870 each, so the are fine. Although the axles should also be upgraded. I am trying to do that soon.

So Alwhite00 you don't think it is worth taking the floor up to look at the foam at this point?

I think Al was suggesting that you need to address the trailer capacity, asap, and that the boat, rigged & fueled, even w/out waterlogged foam, may be overweight for the trailer as it is setup currently....

When that trailer was built, tires were probably the limiting factor in GCWR. A load range C tire with 50lbs of air (like you currently have) will carry more weight than the 32psi tires that came on the trailer when it was new.

Before I said you were overloading your trailer I'd want to know the rating of the axles.

Well, I would not but I would probably do some exploratory drilling to see what I could find. Just FYI - I had a 1986 210 Sea Ray Seville mid cabin and ready for the lake on the trailer it was just over 5,600 lbs and that boat was bone dry - $hi+ adds up quick, I really don't think you are all that heavy.

I would address the trailer situation though.

Re: What is my boat supposed to weight?

Thanks for the input. I will investigate the axles and see if i need to install heavier ones. I do agree that things add up faster than one thinks and this could be the cause since it is not extreme. where exactly would you drill hole to see. if i drill in the floor how would i repair it? I will weight it again in the fall and see if it changed any although I will have to remember what was in it and what was not.

Well, I am no expert but you could drill a hole in the stringers & transom (inside the boat) and look for dry wood, If it's dark & wet you have problems. Drill as close to the bottom as you can. If everything checks out I would believe you could then fill the holes with 5200 - There are a lot of people on here that know way more about this than I do, Hopefully they will chime in.
