My nephew just picked up a fish&ski with a Rude 120(1992) and the other day we were tinkering around with it.It seemed to have a rough idle,,sounded like it was popping,,I adjusted the spark dwell adjustment which seemed to really clean up the idle,,screwed the knob out which advanced the timing(I think). Will this affect the wide open timing..We had it on the timing light before we adjusted it,and it was real close,seemed to be about 1 degree off. He has this motor on a 17 foot Glastron fish& ski,,and it just seems to have no get up and go. Once on plane it does OK,,5400 rpm's at 45 mph..
