What is the biggest motor I can put on a 17' 6" bass boat

I am buying a 1989 stratos 275 pro and was wondering if my evinrude 200 hp motor would fit it without over powering it.

Check the boat's data plate or the mfgr if still in business.

Yeah a 150 is the biggest it will take but I have a 200 hp I need to get rid of to get a 150 hp. Can't win for losing.
