what is the hole in my motor

looking at my motor and on the head cover there is a tapped hole in it with nothing there same on the other side. will try and upload a pic it wouldn't let me have to try and resize it. motor size and model number in signature

ok ill try and get pics ran through another route the holes are only about 3/8 to a 1/2 inch in diameter and threaded they are right beside one of the head bolts. blow up diagram shows covers from a side view and I cant see where they are
