Hi guys! This is a good one. I've had this engine for several years and just started having a few problems with it. Mainly the wiring is getting all dried out and turning green. So I used my seloc manual to help me with the wiring. Well the model number on the plate tells me 60452S which is a 1964 60hp evinrude. But the ignition system is CD2 and the engine has a sticker which says spark advance 19 degrees. I beleive the 60HP motors are only spark advance is 21 degrees? So I'm totally confused. The numbers off the motor are as follows:
Block has 326100
Intake manifold 3228560
Carb 326889
Block plug says 892360
Spark advance 19 degrees (I think this tells me it's a 50HP-55HP?)
CD 581926 OA 8M8 on power pack
I think somebody sold me a mixed bag of motor?
