a very learned man once told me this, i use it.

one day was pi**ing and moaning about stuff and he said this, use it also.

yes i agree i hate the ones that are serusly messpelled and all and they just run on and on so the boat was acticng funny with my friends onbord and he said it was the shift thing but I dont know because my father in law is a mekenik and he said all i had to do was spray some spit on the cable and so I did but nowit runs ruff and i dont know what ellse to do. let me know what you think i need to go out this saturday or maybe sunday if you can help

I have to agree. Mis-spelling makes a post hard to read and understand. It also effectively disables any future searches on the mis-spelled terms.

Other forums I have used have a spell check feature on the tool bar. There is a free Internet Explorer add-in for those interested: http://www.iespell.com/

Run-on and fragmentary sentences are even harder to decipher. I sense that many who use them do not feel comfortable with writing in complete sentences with appropriate punctuation. I don't understand why.

The bottom line is that clear communication will result in the highest likelihood of getting help for a problem, giving effective help that folks can understand, and enabling future users to benefit from the thread as well.

Speaking of Corvettes......that reminds me of one of the most painful topics to read.

They go something like this - "My corvette can stop quicker than my 3/4 ton suburban not towing......so as long as I have trailer brakes it will be able to stop quicker when towing my 5000lb boat".

I would think it would make more sense to search, and pull up an old thread than to waste bandwidth by starting a new, redundant thread.
