What is the year model of my motor?

I have an older(I am guessing mid 70's) Mercury 20HP outboard and I am wanting to do some basic work on the motor, but I need to know what the year of my motor is. Can anyone help me? The serial Number of the motor is 4409643. Thanks in advance for any help that anyone gives me.

That is a 1977 model year engine
