Could I get some help identifying this boat? I saw it this weekend and have no idea what it is. It said "Seabiscuit" on the side of it, but I assume that's just the name the owners gave it? But maybe some company makes a model named Seabiscuit?

I like the looks of it and would like to get more info on it. Hopefully the images are good enough to figure out what it is.

Thanks.

Nice looking boat. have you done a google search for "seabiscuit"? Did that couple know that you where taking pictures of them & putting the online. Why didn't you just boat up to them & ask them. Your iwll find that most boat owners a very proud of the vessels and would love to tell you about them.

Thomas

Yeah, I think it's a great looking boat as well. The people in the boat I'm sure do not know I was taking pictures or have them posted online. But since the pictures aren't quality enough to recognize the people or the registration numbers on the boat, I don't think there's an issue.

I have done multiple google searches with whatever combination of words I can think of, along with Seabiscuit, to come up with something. I've had no luck. You can imagine what I get if I just search on Seabiscuit. ;)

At the time I took the photos, I was onshore. Otherwise I would have boated up to them to inquire about it.

Thanks for the 20 question though. ;)

Probably a Baja, Chaparal, or a Check Mate.

I concur with Nathan, my pick would be a Checkmate or Baja.

Thanks! I'll start with those and see where I get. It looks to me like it could be fairly new, but doesn't exactly look like the new Bajas. Although, I admit, I'm not super familiar with Bajas.

Any idea how old it might be?

I'm hoping to get out on the water this weekend and putz around. Hopefully we'll see them again and be able to ask them about it.

Style looks at least 10 years old to me. Try the '85 - '93 year range.

Kelly Cook

I don't think its a Baja I'v owned Baja's never seen one like that, But I would guess its a Checkmate Pulse early 90's or a Charger also about the same vintage.
