Welcome aboard.
Fugly yes, but I think it's a Lone Star.

What does the paperwork say?

Thanks so much, no paper work with it. Was on property 18 years ago when we bought.

without paperwork.....its a yard planter or 500# of aluminum scrap

Not exactly. If you can get the hull ID number the state should be able to help. They should have a process to get a title or ID card in your name. My father in law bought a ATV with-out a title from an auction. He just had some paperwork to go through and send a registered letter requesting title to previous owner. When it came back refused, he turned it in to the state with a notarized letter why he is claiming ownership and they issued him a title. Your state may be different, but it is worth checking out.

It is a beauty, what state are you in? Minnesota is easy to register a boat and motor with a bill of sale and hull number, or mfg serial number.

Claiming the boat and trailer as abandoned property is probably the way to go.

Forget about a bill of sale because deeds don't transfer vehicles.

I'm with ya on that - as a lover of almost all boats that are working properly and get you out on the water.

I think it's an individual choice of how much time, money, work is "worth it" to meet those conditions.

Looks like GA probably has your answer - interesting. Let us know what more you find out about it, and what you do with it.
