Hi all, putting new plugs in today and took a look at my pee hole and found this hose, maybe I never noticed it before so don't know if it is normal or not. It attaches to the top of my pee hole. Please help me identify it! I am a little nervous because I started it up the other day. Ran fine, pee hole fine but just nervous anyways.

Thanks!

It's a syphon. If water were to get deep enough in the pan, the water from the pee hose will help pull it out. It's rarely a problem in most boats, but in bass boats it can be with them sitting so low in the water. Otherwise the drains are usually plenty adequate.

Its a siphon hose to siphon up any water from your engine pan. Why they put that on there is anybodies guess. I've never got water in mine in 13 years.

That water exit is called a water telltale outlet. Just thought I'd mention it as your description of the visual outlook should have had you in a weird awkward position (grin).

You know as I was typing, it didn't feel right but then I looked at it after it posted and it was pretty comical.

Thanks Joe!
