what is this mini fender?

i got 3 of these when i got my boat. i'd say it's about 12 inches long. i thought it was a dog toy. anyone know what it's for?

that's exactly what i had in mind when i first saw it, oldjeep. maybe the PO had a giant dog like a bull mastiff or something. too big for my dogs.

could be a crab bouy.. i've never done it before, but would like to next year. maybe i should keep it.

Looks like a dog toy to me too. It could be that the PO was using it as an anchor marker when at the local sandbar.

I found one in the water, don't know its purpose but I have it tied to the end of my anchor line (not my real anchor, the little lunch hook), just in case I get a bit to vigorous with the throw. Yeah, I learned I need this from experience.

It is a fender for sure and it's got the quick fitting on it. I bet if you look around you'll find key hole fittings that the male end on the fender slides into and locks. The reason it's orange is so you can find it when you pull the rookie shot and leave them over the side after you leave the dock.
