last year i saw a few boats sitting on the road, with a stopped truck in front of them.
But i do have the stern straps on the boat, when driving.

But i guess the bow could still fly out, and do a 180.

TD, is right mine is wrong also, don't know if up right is tall enough to move it up or not. boat is a tri hull and kind of heavy.
is it better to have a roller or the "v" block I have?

Mine has two V blocks but I really don't think it makes any difference.

Darrin,

If the boat still hangs off the back too far you could shorten the bracket with the roller on. That would give ya another 6" maybe, Looks much better now. Also I would attach the safety chain straight down to the main beam. Your upright post appears to be the weak link and if it fails the chain will do nothing being hooked to it.

Woosterken,

If you drive the boat on the trailer the v-blocks are fine. If you crank it on with the winch, sometimes it makes it easier if its a rooler.
Just my 2 cents!
