What is this peice??? i really need one!

Does anyone know what this peice is called or have a part number?? are they Mercury, Quicksilver or Teleflex part? and ware can i get just that peice for an 84 90Hp 2c6cyl? I just cant find any info about them! :|

Yes you need that piece it is part of the shift or throttle cables.. It is used to hook up your yhtottle or your shift cable. iboats sells cables for Mercury. You need to know the length.

I believe its an integral part of the throttle and shift cables and not available separately. Its fastened permanently to the inner part of the cable. The cables are available here on IBoats, Teleflex or Mercury. You do need to measure the length of the cable for replacements.

that looks like a the throttle cable to me? there are two on my 50 hp, I think one goes forward and the other goes reverse.

looks like a teleflex cable end.
they are part of the cable.
generally under 50$ depending on how long it is.

Deep Blue, That is the motor end of a standard Mercury control cable. They were removeable at one time, but recently are permanently attached to the cable. If you can find a junk cable with a removeable end...

It appears that you may be able to buy them seperately at a Mercrusier dealer. The Alpha 1 - Gen I lower shift cable has a removeable end, which they may sell you.

oh ok, cool thanks chris. i guess its not as easy as it should be, but ill just order some new cables. thanks for all your help.
