Can somebody tell me what this thing is, and what it's function is? 1986 SR Weekender 230. It's mounted below the throttle controller. Thanks

Really no one can post make, model of engine, and out drive. Looks like a electric stringer out drive gear selector. Tilt buttons maybe. Makes the drive go up and down.

Well, it's a 1986 SeaRay Weekender 230 with a Mercruiser 230HP 5.0L and an Alpha 1. It's a red pushbutton with a green light above it.

If you would be so kind as post a picture of your drive and motor please. And the info i requested from the previous post i'm sure we can help you. Maybe a picture of your helm also.

Its a remote detonation switch......giving you enough time to get away from those pesky sea-do folks raging in the marina.....
